Digital Experiences at eBay Main Street

Digital experiences to reinvigorate eBay's brand at their new Welcome Center

When eBay spun off PayPal, it sought a fresh, forward-thinking brand identity and engaged my team at ESI Design to create Main Street, a ne on its Silicon Valley campus that would serve as the company’s new front door.

I led the UX design for all digital experiences in the space, including the data-driven Touch Wall that synchronized with immersive LED Columns in the lobby and a 55-foot LED display in the Main Hall. I collaborated with eBay teams worldwide to extract compelling data points that were previously only accessible to employees. I oversaw the development of a new API to power the experience, which depicted real-time sales data across disparate data sources.

I created wireframes to visualize the data dashboard's user interface. I coded a tool to query the new API as it was being developed and iterated on the design approach based on the results.

Documentation

We built a full-scale tech mock-up to conduct user tests with employees and executives. Based on their feedback, I collaborated with developers to implement improvements before the installation.
